Job Description

The Company: A highly ambitious and growing IFA firm based in Central Leeds who are looking to bring a Senior Paraplanner into their technical team as they continue to expand their ever-developing advice offering. Established over 10-years ago the firm specialises in providing straightforward, remote financial advice to individuals and their families. Their services encompass a wide range of financial planning areas, including investments, retirement planning, and family protection focusing on the advice model of easy access, convenience and simplicity.

Office Location: Central Leeds

  • Working Setup: Hybrid split between home/office

 

Salary/Package: £40-50k DOE + attractive bonus & full company benefits

  • Benefits: 5% Pension, 4xDIS & Private Medical Cover alongside a full company benefits package

The Role: You will provide technical paraplanning expertise to a private wealth focused financial planners and a bank of high-net worth clientele. You will play a critical role in the compilation of advice in a consultative, right-hand man type remit. Duties include:

  • Research and Recommendation: Analyse gathered information and conduct thorough research to formulate suitable recommendations for clients.
  • Suitability Report Writing: Create high quality suitability reports in a timely manner and to a highly professional standard.
  • Problem Resolution: Address operational challenges promptly, providing solutions, and fostering a proactive problem-solving environment.
  • Staying Informed: Keep abreast of new product, technical, and legislative changes within the marketplace to ensure up-to-date knowledge.
  • Documentation Accuracy: Complete all supporting documentation with precision and accuracy.
  • Performance Standards: Maintain performance standards in accordance with those outlined in the Key Performance Indicators.
  • Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and training to the Paraplanning Team, contributing to the development of their skills and knowledge.

The Person: You must be QCF level 4 Diploma qualified and have a demonstrable track record of managing paraplanning workloads for high performing financial advisers and wealth managers. You will:

  • Hold substantial experience (minimum 4/5 years) in paraplanning with a particular focus on supporting pensions accumulation and decumulation advice.
  • Bring a strong understanding of financial products, regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Have a background in conducting thorough research and analysis to make suitable recommendations based on client needs and market conditions.
  • Have experience in effectively answering technical queries and being a POC for clients
