Job Description

The Company: Headquartered in Central Sheffield this is an expanding, client-centric, Yorkshire based Wealth Management firm who looking to expand by adding a Trainee Paraplanner to their dedicated technical team. With excellent Trustpilot ratings and a growth strategy that is in full flow this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into paraplanning from an admin/adviser support type role – Further developing their technical skills in a focused research/report writing role.

  • Office Location: Sheffield
  • Hybrid/Home Working: Office-based – 1-day p/w WFH after probation

 

Package: £30-32k base DOE + bonus & full company benefits

  • Benefits: 8% pension + annual bonuses and full flexible benefits package

The Role: A pure paraplanning remit supporting multiple high-performing financial advisers working with high-net-worth, private wealth focused clientele. Duties include:

  • Liaise with product providers, examine policy information and obtain client specific illustrations and comparisons to support the analysis of data for client asset reviews.
  • Undertake research both independently and with the Planner to identify suitable solutions to meet the client’s needs.
  • Produce clear, compliant, and technically accurate recommendation reports.
  • Completion of pension, investment, and tax calculations as appropriate.
  • Work closely with the Financial Planners to deliver a seamless, end to end service for Clients.
  • Develop good working relationships with product providers, technology suppliers, team members, Clients and Advisers.
  • Keep up to date with compliance and regulatory changes and maintain a high level of technical knowledge through ongoing learning and continued professional development.

 

The Person: You will have experience within Adviser Support and have maybe touched into some basic research/suitability report writing work before. Ideally you will:

  • Be progressing towards the QCF Level 4 Diploma with 2/3 R0 exams done already
  • Have investments & pensions administration experience and have maybe touched into basic paraplanning work
  • Have an awareness of financial planning tools such as Voyant, FE Analytics, Select-a-Pension etc
