Job Description

The Company: Family-feel IFA business looking to bring in an experienced Paraplanner following a recent expansion to their advisory team up in Ilkley, North Leeds. Currently a 15-person strong firm with further plans to expand across the next 5 years, so a progressive option suited to a technical astute Paraplanner/Analyst:

  • Office Location: Ilkley, North Leeds
  • Hybrid/Home Working: Yes – 3-days office/2-days WFH

 

Package: £35-40k base DOE + annual bonus and full company benefits:

  • Benefits: Discretionary bonus and full benefits package inclusive of pension, DIS etc as well as study support to Diploma/Chartered
  • Holidays: 24-days + stats
  • Standard hours: 9am-5pm (Flexible working available)

 

The Role: A technically challenging Paraplanning role/remit providing key research/report writing support to multiple high performing private wealth biased financial advisers: Key accountabilities include:

  • Compile reports detailing recommended advice to suit clients’ needs
  • Maintain an ongoing relationship with clients, keeping them informed, answering queries and arranging review meetings where appropriate
  • Carry out research and analyse products and services that are appropriate to each client’s financial circumstances, then discussing solutions with the financial planner
  • Complete regular reviews of clients’ portfolios to support the ongoing client relationship, including maintaining a client review system to regularly assess client holdings and changing priorities
  • Effectively use research and planning systems and platforms such as FE Analytics, CashCalc etc
  • Be responsible for ensuring that recommendations are fully implemented to time and quality

 

The Person: Whole of market IFA business environment experience is preferred but isn’t essential, with a background and track-record within paraplanning and technical support a necessity:

  • Required: QCF Level 4 Diploma qualified (or close to)
  • Required: Breadth of case exposure inclusive of more complex investments, IHT planning and trust work
