The Company: A well-established Wealth Management business based in York who are looking to appoint an experienced Investment Administrator to join their Portfolio Management team. Supporting Portfolio Managers and Financial Advisers, this is a varied opportunity suited to someone with previous investment administration or wealth management experience who enjoys working in a technical, client-focused environment with responsibility for investment transactions, portfolio administration and operational support.

- Working Setup: Office-based
- Hours: Full-time (Mon-Fri)
Package: Circa £30k base + bonus & full company benefits

- Holidays: 25-days + stats
The Role: A varied Investment Administration role providing administrative and operational support to the Portfolio Management team, ensuring the accurate processing of investment transactions and the delivery of an excellent client experience. Key accountabilities include:
- Process investment transactions accurately and within agreed service standards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and investment records across internal systems
- Prepare investment documentation, portfolio administration and client correspondence
- Monitor outstanding transactions and proactively progress cases through to completion
- Assist with investment reporting, portfolio valuations and cash movements
- Support settlement activities and reconciliation processes
- Liaise with custodians, investment platforms and third-party providers to resolve queries
- Provide administrative support to Portfolio Managers and Financial Advisers
- Respond to client enquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with maintaining operational records, registers and quality checking procedures
- Ensure all documentation and processes remain FCA compliant and aligned with Consumer Duty principles
- Support Anti-Money Laundering, GDPR and wider regulatory requirements
- Identify and escalate operational risks or potential client issues where appropriate
The Person: Previous experience within Investment Administration, Wealth Management or Financial Services is essential, alongside a good understanding of investment transactions, client servicing and back-office administration. The successful individual will possess excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy.
